About Babu

If I'm on the computer, I'm mostly likely doing something music related. I like my bass low and my volume high. On an average day you can find me sippin' something cold while listening/making music. Keep it trill, hustle heavy, and go HAM. - It's Babu

XV – The Kick (music video)

This is XV’s latest music video for his single “The Kick”. The song is very motivational and gives us a little sight into XV’s journey to success. Directed by The KiD, aka Kyle DePinna, this video does an amazing job of fitting the theme and feeling of the track. It’s been getting a great response as it was only uploaded yesterday and already has over 100,000 views. Be on the look out for more videos from The KiD and of course XV. Enjoy!

Messy Marv – Baby

This is a bay area classic. Well maybe not a classic, but Messy Marv is known for makin’ slaps (bay slang for a JAM). This is an atypical style for him as he’s usually making songs that are a little harder. Either way this track is bomb and I’m sure we all can relate.

Metric – Collect Call (Adventure Club Remix)

The dubstep duo Adventure Club has done it again. These guys really differentiate themselves by the way they dice up the high pitched vocals in their music. I feel like a lot of ¬†dubstep these days strays too far from melody. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some grime, but it’s nice to have something to hold on to as a listener. Adventure Club does a great job of keeping the integrity of the original song in their remixes.

Rodrigo y Gabriella – Diablo Rojo

If you’re like me, you’re desperately looking for music to study to. Well, look no further. Rodrigo y Gabriella are amazing song writers, who were originally metal heads, made it big when they changed genres. Everything you hear is straight from their guitars. While they are no lyrics, you never get bored. Try to listen to this song without tapping your foot / bobbing your head. Alright, now back to the grind.

Major Lazer – Original Don (Music Video)

Howdy folks! Recently, we’ve been all about our music videos and this post is no different. This track was posted a while back but I thought I’d put up this hilarious music video. I burst out laughing in the library when I first saw this. With tests, projects, and interviews, hopefully this will help you take the load off. Enjoy!

Childish Gambino – Bonfire (Music Video)

This has been out for while but in case some of you missed it, this is Gambino’s newest music video. In my opinion, this is one of the best music videos I have seen in a long while. I’m not sure how relavent it is to the actual song other than the literal bonfire seen in the video. For those of you who are still perplexed by this video here is a brief discription:

“…there was a slave….named Gambino who was killed by hanging and they beleived he haunted the woods…that’s what the guy was telling the people sitting down….that’s why the guy that scared everyone was dressed just like gambino with the rope over his neck…like the beginning of the video…and gambino was holding a sharp object…just like the white guy…..and Gambino is dead so basically the story is true….video wise (MY OPINION NOT REALLY SURE)
