An Apology from the Founders of Your Daily Dose

It’s been a pleasure running this blog since we first started it in May 2011. It’s come a long way, and while viewership and posting has fluctuated, our devotion to music never has, and never will. Currently all seniors at respectable universities, we are equally devoted to our studies, as well as the pursuit of gainful employment. As our final semester in college edges ever-nearer to its finite conclusion, we have decided to put Your Daily Dose on the back burner for the time-being. Posts will be made. Music will be shared. Festival line-ups will be listed. However, we can not testify to the frequency and consistency of such things. We love music. We love our friends and followers. And we will be back shortly. To all of our supporters, we apologize and thank you, again.

The Sincerest of Cheers,

Your Daily Dose

“Somebody That I Used To Know” – Gotye (Bernhard S. & Wulf Remix)

Yolo! Long time no see. Apparently I’m not the only one who’s fallen in love with Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know” after seeing seeing the Walk of The Earth’s rendition of it on youtube (link posted below). In the first remix I’ve come across, a young Swedish producer (SHOCKING right?) by the name of Wulf took the original and absolutely went nuts with it. If you dig the original and love house like we do, definitely give the track a listen. And as always, keep calm and party on. Cheers

Skrillex feat. Ellie Goulding “Summit (Original Mix)”

Merry Christmas Eve (er, day) everybody! Saw a facebook status talking about a new Skrillex track featuring Ellie Goulding a few days ago. Decided to investigate. While there is zero information available on this song (which kind of sketches me out as to its authenticity), it’s a pretty chill track. Almost doesn’t even sound like Skrillex. Check the link below and let us know what you think (or if it’s real). Cheers

Edit: “Real” in this case means the work is actually made by the artists, not by a fan

OKEY DOKEY. This track is in fact an authentic production by Skrillex. It’s off his newest EP, Bangarang, announced just a few days ago. Other tracks on the EP are listed below. Personally I can’t wait to buy and listen to this whole thing. Buy the EP/Download the track for free, below. Cheers!

Deadmau5 Lights Up London with 4D Projection

This past monday, the 28th, Nokia invited Deadmau5 to help celebrate the launch of the Nokia Lumia 800 in London. Using 4D state-of-the-art technology, Deadmau5 lit up the Millbank Tower. What resulted was possibly the coolest thing you’ll ever see. If you’re reading this and were at the show, please know that I gravely envy you. Perhaps you should heed the words of the Weeknd on this one. Enjoy
