City and Colour — The Girl

We’re baaaaack (sort of)! It certainly has been quite some time since YDD’s last post but with a recent (admittedly random) wave of people coming up to me and asking me why we no longer post, I have decided to re-up my posting. While I can make no guarantee as to the “daily” aspect of Your “Daily” Dose 2.0, I can assure you that there will be zero drop-off as far as content is concerned. It has always been our mission to deliver the best music we can find to our followers and that remains our mission to the end.

Having said that, let us start with one of my most recent favorite bands, City and Colour. This song is certainly not new, but I have a strong feeling it will be new to many of you. “The Girl” is, hands down, one of the most beautiful and sincere songs I have ever listened to.  It is one of those songs that makes you happy and sad at the same time, confident and thoughtful. An Apology from the Founders of Your Daily Dose

Dosers,

It’s been a pleasure running this blog since we first started it in May 2011. It’s come a long way, and while viewership and posting has fluctuated, our devotion to music never has, and never will. Currently all seniors at respectable universities, we are equally devoted to our studies, as well as the pursuit of gainful employment. As our final semester in college edges ever-nearer to its finite conclusion, we have decided to put Your Daily Dose on the back burner for the time-being. Posts will be made. Music will be shared. Festival line-ups will be listed. However, we can not testify to the frequency and consistency of such things. We love music. We love our friends and followers. And we will be back shortly. To all of our supporters, we apologize and thank you, again.

The Sincerest of Cheers,

Your Daily Dose

Cris Cab — Rihanna’s Gun (Feat. Wyclef Jean) (VIDEO)

If you all follow the Dose, you know that we are very excited about an up-and-coming reggae/pop star by the name of Cris Cab.  He has just the right amount of talent and star backing (think Pharell Williams of the Neptunes) to make it.  His mixtape (which you can find on this site by using the search bar in the upper right corner) Echo Boom was a huge success amongst music blogs, ours being no exception.  Above, one of the more popular songs, Rihanna’s Gun (Feat. Wyclef), is now in a lovely video form.  Love this kid.
